Feasibility study of demand control ventilation technique for underground railway platforms

Presents a demand control ventilation system applying to PSD underground railway platforms. Taking a PSD platform of a station in Guangzhou as study subject, builds a model with dynamic simulation, and calculates the annual energy consumption. The results show that the demand control ventilation system can reduce energy consumption about 30% than the conventional CAV system and 8% than the VAV system.
